Koptothrips Bagnall, 1929: 197. Type species Koptothrips flavicornis Bagnall, 1929, by monotypy.

Sphaericothrips Moulton, 1968: 115. Type species Sphaericothrips clarapennis Moulton, 1968, by monotypy. Synonymised by Mound, 1971: 427.

Biology and Distribution

The members of this Australian genus live as kleptoparasites within the galls of various species of Kladothrips.
