Ahamothrips Kumar, Tyagi & Bhatti, 2007: 68. Type species Ahamothrips maxima Kumar Tyagi & Bhatti, 2007 by monotypy. The type species appears to be unavailable under the Code of Zoological Nomenclature.

Only one species from India is placed in this genus.
