Acallurothrips Bagnall, 1921: 269. Type species Acallurothrips macrurus Bagnall, by original designation from two species.

Diopsothrips Hood, 1934: 422. Type species Diopsothrips flavus Hood, by original designation from two species. Synonymised by Mound & Palmer, 1983.

Biology and Distribution

African, Australian, Neotropical, Nearctic and Oriental species are placed in this genus.
