Genus information

Oligothrips Moulton, 1933: 139. Type species Oligothrips oreius Moulton, by monotypy.

Biology and distribution

Apparently living in the flowers of certain shrubs, only one species is described in this genus. However, one or more very similar undescribed species have been seen from Arizona, Utah and Oregon (Mound & Marullo, 1999).
