Genus information

Pygmaeothrips Karny, 1920: 40. Type species Pygmaeothrips columniceps Karny, 1920, by monotypy; a synonym of Trichothrips angusticeps Hood.

Polyporothrips Watson, 1927: 61. Type species Polyporothrips longipilosus Watson, 1927, by monotypy. Synonymised by Mound & Marullo, 1996: 353.

Micropsothrips de Santis, 1950: 62. Type species Micropsothrips ganodermae de Santis, 1950, by monotypy. Synonymised by Mound & Marullo, 1996: 353.

Biology and Distribution

One species only, fungus feeding in tropical countries.
